Dr. Mebel received his undergraduate degree from Harvard University, and received his medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency training at Tufts New England Medical Center. He was a Major in the United States Army and Chief of Orthopedic Surgery in Augsburg, Germany during his service.
Dr. Mebel has a significant breadth of experience in treating orthopedic conditions. He has served as a consultant for the Boston Marathon, the Tennis Matches at Longwood, as well as serving as a physician to the United States Olympic Training Center in Boulder, Colorado. He had the privilege to lead an orthopaedic missionary team to help children in the Ecuadorian Andes.
Dr. Mebel currently focuses on the non-operative treatment of orthopaedic conditions. He teaches at Boston University Medical School and is past President of the Massachusetts Orthopedic Association.
