MAKOplasty robotic surgery allows orthopedic surgeons to achieve exceptional surgical precision and improved surgical outcomes for knee and hip replacement surgeries. Using a 3D modeling of the patient’s entire joint, a surgeon can virtually plan for exact alignment, orientation, and size of the implant prior to surgery. The surgeon uses a robotic arm that he or she controls and has virtual visualization of the patient’s knee or hip for a precise implant placement and preservation of healthy bone, ligaments, and surrounding tissue.
